Every year the Rock Academy expands in size, bringing new students, teachers, and faculty. This school year is no different, and we’re thrilled to bring in a new 2nd grade teacher. Chloe Chenfeld’s passion for her students is clear. She is excited to instill a love of learning in them, and realizes the importance of self-confidence and an environment where it is alright to make mistakes. Much more than simply sharing information, she cannot wait for her students to find joy in learning and overcoming obstacles.
Ms. Chenfeld learned about the Rock Academy through a friend and was interested in applying once she moved to San Diego. She says, “…after my first interview with Emilie and Gayl I knew this place was different and that I wanted to be a part of it.” She feels God calling her to a Christian education and understands the impact those around her have on her life. Surrounding herself with fellow Christian co-workers and teachers is an excellent way to connect with those people on a deeper level. She also enjoys learning more about faith from her students and seeing God work in and through them.
A certain obsession of Ms. Chenfelds is coffee, and she loves starting her morning with a nice hot cup. She also enjoys reading, especially on the weekends, and prefers her pizza pineapple free. She is also particularly fond of nicknames, and the meaning behind them. Our 2nd grade class is going to have an excellent year full of learning, laughs, and new experiences!
